Early Tuesday morning at 4 a.m., I woke up feeling nauseous and short of breath. I got up and walked into the living room, then the bathroom. On the way back to the bedroom I nearly passed out and by the time I made it back to bed, I could barely breathe. My heart had been palpitating the day before and I had been feeling nauseous. Now my chest felt like it was being crushed. I was barely able to wake my g/f but managed to somehow. She immediately brought my asthma inhaler to me. Within minutes my lungs started to open up but my chest still hurt. She took me to the emergency room and I was admitted for having a possible heart attack!
After running the whole gamut of all kinds of testing while in the hospital, my heart appears to be “ok” with no damage detected but my blood pressure is still too high. I also discovered I have acid reflux and my asthma needs to be brought under control. So the news I received from the cardiologist was both good and bad. Good news…I’m still here and still writing erotica but really need to learn how to chill the heck out!
Enough of the personal drama…I am so psyched about my story making it into BLE 2009! I’ve always wanted to get one published about librarians who don’t fit the dowdy, bun-headed stereotype and have finally succeeded! My librarians, Giselle and Leila, are two lesbian women who do not bow to any kind of conventional rules of behavior. They’re frisky, they’re exhibitionists…they’re librarians gone wild! lol
The book will be released sometime this November…just in time for Christmas. On an interesting side note, four of my fellow co-authors; Rachel Kramer Bussel, Tawanna Sullivan, Jean Roberta, and Teresa Noelle Roberts who had stories in editor/author, Jolie Du Pre’s book: Iridescence: Sensuous Shades of Lesbian Erotica also appear in BLE 2009. I couldn’t ask to be in better company.
