Best Lesbian Erotica 2009 Review

Damn...those stories are freakin' HOT. Don't take my word for it though. If you're contemplating on whether to buy the book or not, read the review that I found recently by "Hotflashes & Wetdreams."

I'm happy to note that the reviewer mentioned my story in her review!

Erotica Writer's Lullaby

Special Lullaby for An Insomniac Erotica Writer
by Mia Corbeau

Rock-a-bye baby
on the tree top
when the wind blows
the dildo will rock
when the bitch breaks
the dildo will fall
and down will come Dylynn
flogger and all

My friend and fellow writer Mia Corbeau wrote that touching little lullaby for me. Thank you Mia! lol

Yeah, So I Got Drunk...

It was New Year’s Eve and I was determined to give 2008 the proverbial finger by having the best night of the year by drinking and obliterating the yucky remnants of a somewhat fucked up year. This included indulging in my favorite vices, smoking and drinking. Both of which I seldom partake in much anymore. I quit smoking a few months ago but fuck it…I wanted a goddamn ciggy tonight

“Ya got a cigarette?” I asked my friend once she was out of earshot of her girlfriend.

She nodded discreetly and with her eyes, pointed toward the exit out of the bar. The place was filled with women, the music was hopping and I was having a ball. Just minutes ago I was out on floor dancing with my girlfriend when another friend slid up behind me. I could feel her body rubbing up against mine thus making my beer induced buzz all the more pleasurable and me the happiest little perv in the place. I LOVE being the “filling” in a dirty dance ménage a tois sandwich. It always leaves me with a warm, fuzzy, and semi-humid feeling…Hahaha.

When the next song came on, I thought I’d return the favor…MY way. As she danced I snuck up behind her, grabbed her by the hips, ground myself into her while pushing her head down so that she was bent over. Once I had her there, I proclaimed, “YOU’RE my bitch NOW! ” followed by wild giggling at the look of surprise on her face! Hehehe.. Ah…such fun and games with friends. (I'm so playful aren't I?)

So, I follow my buddy out into the chilly and smoky night.

Standing near the entrance of the bar, we watched women come and go while making small talk when out walks a long dark-haired femme fatale in a white trench coat. Damn it that she had pants on…otherwise it would have been a perfect semi-naked visual and fantasy lol.

She heads in our direction, stops and asks if she can bum a cigarette. Mind you, I don’t even own the pack but say semi-seriously “Sure, if you’ll join us in the backseat of that car.”

My friend pulls out a cigarette, offers it to her, and lights it. I watch as Ms. Trench coat wraps her long, long painted nails around my friend’s hand as she inhales the first puff. Holding the cigarette, she takes a long drag off it, looks at me as if ascertaining the seriousness of the proposition, smiles and then says, “Have a good night ladies.”

Whew? LOL.

My friend and I both wordlessly watched her walk away, taking in the sway of her hips as she made her way out of the parking lot.

“There’s your story, Dylynn,” my friend says with a laugh.

I looked at her with a grin. It's minutes away from drawing the close of the long dry spell of creativity in 2008 and inspiration shows up in the form of a trench coat. Maybe 2008 wasn’t so bad after all.

Best Lesbian Erotica 2009

On Dec. 4th, Best Lesbian Erotica 2009 will be released in bookstores everywhere. I'm excited for three reasons. 1) my story, "Waiting," will be in it, 2) it's a story that breaks the stereotype of the librarian, and 3) I'm honored to have a story in one of the last BLE books that Tristain Taormino, the dynamic woman who started the series, will be editing.

It's been one hell of a year and I'm overjoyed to top it off with getting a story published in one of my favorite erotica books!

Vacations Can Be Like That....

Okay…I’m ready for this year to be over and done with! I ended up in the hospital twice this year, struggled with writer’s block but still managed to get a story published, and now…to top it all off, I go on vacation only to get a horrid case of bronchitis while in New York. While in the city, I spent a total of 3 days feeling fine then started feeling like crap. But before I succumbed to getting sick....

We saw “In the Heights” which was FANTASTIC! I loved it so much we bought the soundtrack. We then saw “To Be or Not To Be” which everyone in our company liked but me. I thought it sucked and could hardly wait for it to be over. I saw a review in a newspaper the following day giving it 2-1/2 stars….I rest my case J We then saw “Boeing, Boeing” and it was HILARIOUS! I loved it!

By Thursday, I was ready to fall over from being sick but hung in there due to peer pressure from one of my g/f’s sisters. She said “We don’t LIKE people who can’t keep up with us INCLUDING those who are sick.” Geezus…wonder who THAT comment was directed to??? Those New Yorkers….they have such a black sense of humor...hahaha (scowls and hisses). I kept my mouth shut and did not let one smartass retort escape from these lips just to keep the peace. Even now I’m behaving wonderfully by not writing or dwelling on the other catty behavior exhibited, which can happen when 4 women are cooped up in a hotel room together. To top it off, I was PMSing but hey…all went well for the most part and I'm still alive despite choking on the the 2nd hand smoke coming from all the smokers on every street corner.

Sunday, we left the city and I have to say I was glad to leave because NYC is not a good place to be when you can’t walk around plus there’s just so many things you want to do and see and if you can’t get out and do them you feel like you’re missing something. At least I did. So finally it came time to leave the big city and we rode a train up to upstate New York, Saratoga Springs, where the pace is SLOW. I ended up sitting next to a woman who was also sick. Together we coughed and sniffled our way on the 2 hr train ride.

Once in Saratoga, I was able to rest, well almost…We went to an art museum in Massachusetts but then the rest of the time I was able to attempt to recuperate. I ended up having to see a doc because the first round of antibiotics I took weren’t working so I ended having to take a different kind plus had to get an xray to make sure that I didn’t have pneumonia. Thank goodness the results showed my lungs were okay! Yay! All was good…’cept that the other pills the doc prescribed kept me up at night with insomnia…which I guess wasn’t too bad because while I was on my computer, I ended up having a short IM chat at 1 a.m. with Mr. Fairy Butch who has a Q&A column in Curve magazine. I whined about having writer’s block and with my whining probably cured any case of insomnia she might have had lol. I also chatted with a sweet young woman who said she was an old soul…something that I am very familiar with and seem to keep encountering in online conversations. We had a nice chat about “life” in general. I finally bowed out of the conversation and tried to get some sleep. Hours later I ended up crawling out of bed at 11am, something I NEVER do. It doesn’t matter how late I stay up; I always wake up around 7am regardless of how much sleep I get but since I’m sick, I guess my body just needed the rest.

All was not lost on this trip because I did get to see a couple of good shows and felt inspired enough to write a couple of stories while there, even though as I type this I still have the horrid cough, have a stuffy nose, and my ears are plugged up.

I felt a tinge of inspiration during the few hours I spent in the Bowery while in NYC. We went to the Museum of Contemporary Art and I didn’t really enjoy the exhibits there so I focused more on the environment close by once we left the museum. I guess the Bowery area is in the midst of being fixed up but is still a bit seedy. While walking around; we visited a gallery in the area that had some art that was wildly politically incorrect and edgy. That combined with visiting the Goth fashion exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology and seeing beautiful Gothic outfits inspired me to start a Goth type erotica story. I’m having fun writing it and am very excited about how it will turn out.

Vacation Pics from New York

We stayed in a hotel near Central Park, here's a photo from our room.

Getting around New York City requires either walking, taking cabs ...or taking the subway. Last time I was in New York we walked 30 miles in about 4 days. Umm....I decided I liked riding in subways this year lol.

First stop was the Museum of Sex and one of the exhibits was on the sex lives of animals. I have to tell you I was pretty suprised at some of the stuff that goes on in the "wild" kingdom! lol. Omg.

This was a pic that I took of the window display at the museum. In case you can't read the text, it says "Female elephants have been observe masturbating one another with their trunks." Alright...so we know that some elephants are lesbians. Did YOU know that? I didn't know that.

Another exhibit focused on the "sex lives" of robots. It was a fascinating display of robots that this guy made and how he animated them. He'd go to flea markets, buy barbies, and other plastic dolls then burn their hair off and sculpt them to look like robots. It was pretty cool to see the end result!

This is MY kind of exercise equipment!...it has restraints so you can't escape until you've burnt enough calories. lol. Seriously, it's an S/M play device :)

I don't know what this outfit is but can I have it for Christmas??
