Vacations Can Be Like That....

Okay…I’m ready for this year to be over and done with! I ended up in the hospital twice this year, struggled with writer’s block but still managed to get a story published, and now…to top it all off, I go on vacation only to get a horrid case of bronchitis while in New York. While in the city, I spent a total of 3 days feeling fine then started feeling like crap. But before I succumbed to getting sick....
We saw “In the Heights” which was FANTASTIC! I loved it so much we bought the soundtrack. We then saw “To Be or Not To Be” which everyone in our company liked but me. I thought it sucked and could hardly wait for it to be over. I saw a review in a newspaper the following day giving it 2-1/2 stars….I rest my case J We then saw “Boeing, Boeing” and it was HILARIOUS! I loved it!
By Thursday, I was ready to fall over from being sick but hung in there due to peer pressure from one of my g/f’s sisters. She said “We don’t LIKE people who can’t keep up with us INCLUDING those who are sick.” Geezus…wonder who THAT comment was directed to??? Those New Yorkers….they have such a black sense of humor...hahaha (scowls and hisses). I kept my mouth shut and did not let one smartass retort escape from these lips just to keep the peace. Even now I’m behaving wonderfully by not writing or dwelling on the other catty behavior exhibited, which can happen when 4 women are cooped up in a hotel room together. To top it off, I was PMSing but hey…all went well for the most part and I'm still alive despite choking on the the 2nd hand smoke coming from all the smokers on every street corner.
Sunday, we left the city and I have to say I was glad to leave because NYC is not a good place to be when you can’t walk around plus there’s just so many things you want to do and see and if you can’t get out and do them you feel like you’re missing something. At least I did. So finally it came time to leave the big city and we rode a train up to upstate New York, Saratoga Springs, where the pace is SLOW. I ended up sitting next to a woman who was also sick. Together we coughed and sniffled our way on the 2 hr train ride.
Once in Saratoga, I was able to rest, well almost…We went to an art museum in Massachusetts but then the rest of the time I was able to attempt to recuperate. I ended up having to see a doc because the first round of antibiotics I took weren’t working so I ended having to take a different kind plus had to get an xray to make sure that I didn’t have pneumonia. Thank goodness the results showed my lungs were okay! Yay! All was good…’cept that the other pills the doc prescribed kept me up at night with insomnia…which I guess wasn’t too bad because while I was on my computer, I ended up having a short IM chat at 1 a.m. with Mr. Fairy Butch who has a Q&A column in Curve magazine. I whined about having writer’s block and with my whining probably cured any case of insomnia she might have had lol. I also chatted with a sweet young woman who said she was an old soul…something that I am very familiar with and seem to keep encountering in online conversations. We had a nice chat about “life” in general. I finally bowed out of the conversation and tried to get some sleep. Hours later I ended up crawling out of bed at 11am, something I NEVER do. It doesn’t matter how late I stay up; I always wake up around 7am regardless of how much sleep I get but since I’m sick, I guess my body just needed the rest.
All was not lost on this trip because I did get to see a couple of good shows and felt inspired enough to write a couple of stories while there, even though as I type this I still have the horrid cough, have a stuffy nose, and my ears are plugged up.
I felt a tinge of inspiration during the few hours I spent in the Bowery while in NYC. We went to the Museum of Contemporary Art and I didn’t really enjoy the exhibits there so I focused more on the environment close by once we left the museum. I guess the Bowery area is in the midst of being fixed up but is still a bit seedy. While walking around; we visited a gallery in the area that had some art that was wildly politically incorrect and edgy. That combined with visiting the Goth fashion exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology and seeing beautiful Gothic outfits inspired me to start a Goth type erotica story. I’m having fun writing it and am very excited about how it will turn out.Tuesday, October 7, 2008
Vacation Pics from New York
We stayed in a hotel near Central Park, here's a photo from our room.
Getting around New York City requires either walking, taking cabs ...or taking the subway. Last time I was in New York we walked 30 miles in about 4 days. Umm....I decided I liked riding in subways this year lol.
First stop was the Museum of Sex and one of the exhibits was on the sex lives of animals. I have to tell you I was pretty suprised at some of the stuff that goes on in the "wild" kingdom! lol. Omg.
This was a pic that I took of the window display at the museum. In case you can't read the text, it says "Female elephants have been observe masturbating one another with their trunks." Alright...so we know that some elephants are lesbians. Did YOU know that? I didn't know that.
This is MY kind of exercise equipment!...it has restraints so you can't escape until you've burnt enough calories. lol. Seriously, it's an S/M play device :)
I don't know what this outfit is but can I have it for Christmas??

New York...New York.....
Yay it's vacation time!!!Monday at this time I'll be traipsing through the streets of New York City; my most favorite place in the world. Ok, I really like Hawaii the most but New York City is fun in a different way. There's so much to do and see there :)
The first place I want to go to is the Museum of Sex. I went back in 2002 when they first opened and they had such fascinating exhibits and it was all about the history of sex. I learned a little too :) For one, I didn't realize that way back in the silent film days that they made porn movies lol. I watched one while there and chuckled because the film was so simple, bad quality, full of jerky camera motions, and was funny to see people doing the wild thing next to a model A truck. Come to think of it...the porn films nowadays aren't that much different than today. They're still simple, of bad quality and full of jerky camera shots too lol.
Next I want to visit the Fashion Institute of Technology. They've got a gothic fashion exhibit! I don't wear goth outfits but I am enamored of the goth style and the color, black :) I wear black on an almost daily basis. I think it might be my new favorite color.
The other place I HAVE to visit is the Museum of Contemporary Art. I wanted to go last year but we ended up doing more shopping than museum-going.
If I can go to the places I've mentioned on this trip I'll be a happy lil' erotica writer :)
Ok you're probably asking yourself...so she's going to New York City...what's up with the pic of the dominatrix? Well...I posted it because umm...well..errr...just looking at that pic makes me shiver? lol. Ooooo...and those black leather gloves? (purrs). The pic has NOTHING to do with New York and I posted it because I LIKE TO LOOK AT IT! heh. Hope you enjoy it too :)

Sapphic Planet Anthology
The Sapphic Planet Anthology is in the final stages of being prepared to be pitched to a publisher!Sapphic Planet is a group of aspiring writers and authors of lesbian fiction that I have had the pleasure of being a member. We’ve come together as collective group and written stories for this totally sizzling project. I really hope the anthology finds a publisher because there are some incredibly talented writers in the group. Not only that, but the stories are HOT, well written, and did I mention HOT, HOT!
My story, Haircut, is included in the anthology. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it before and I’m just too plain lazy to check my blog so I’ll tell you a little about it. The story is about a young cocky butch woman who enjoys going about her business while “packed.” She decides to get her hair cut at her favorite salon and well, someone else notices that she’s packing something big under her jeans and well...sexually charged activities ensue.
If you’re a straight person reading this blog, and I know there are a few of you out there, men included; you’re probably asking yourselves…packed? What’s packed? Let me give you a quick lesson in lesbian sexuality. Well, wait a minute, why reinvent the wheel? I was going to go through and explain what it was but actually found a link on “how to pack a dildo under your clothes.” Now you’re probably asking yourself why would a woman want to pack a dildo? If you google that question, this is what you’ll find (or you can find out the easy way by clicking on the links I just gave you) lol…gawd I love the internet! Ok, so you’re with me now?
The story is pretty spicy and is set in New York, my favorite city. Anyways, I’m pretty excited about sharing it with fans of lesbian erotica and those who enjoy a strap-on sex story with a little bend (pun intended) toward dominance and submission.
I'll keep you posted on the progress of the book :)
If any of you are interested in joining our group, follow this link: Sapphic Planet.

Short Story Excerpt - "The Perfect Girl"
Here is an excerpt from a story that I wrote awhile ago and have since then reworked. It could be best described as a lesbian erotic romance story.
This tale is about serendipity and how life can bestow pleasant but sometimes life changing surprises when you least expect it.
Jamie, the narrator, works for an express delivery service and is on her first day on the job. She makes a stop at the residence of Gabriella, a beautiful young woman who lives alone and has secluded herself from the rest of the world. Being an only child and having lost her parents in an accident not long ago, Gabriella finds peace and solace from her emotional pain in her garden.
Neither has ever met each other but they both experience an eerie sense of familiarity. What could it be?
Jamie returns to visit Gabriella after an embarrassing and awkward first meeting with her and then finds herself wrapped up in an unexpected but warm erotic spell that only BEGINS at the end of this excerpt!
The Perfect Girl
Written By Dylynn DeSaint
I pulled up to Gabby’s place after work, it was dark outside and the lights in her house were on.
I knocked on her door.
No answer.
Oh no, here we go again.
Dare I walk around to the back again?
I held my breath and walked around the corner of her house. The back yard was dimly lit and had tiny white Christmas lights around the perimeter of the garden. Gabby lay curled up on a large wicker couch reading a book.
This time I didn’t want to surprise her and called out her name. She looked up at me and I could tell she was pleasantly surprised. She gave me a beautiful smile and motioned for me to join her. As I walked toward her, she gazed up at the stars and closed her eyes, as if thanking the gods that a wish came true.
If so, what was her wish?
She looked peaceful. When she opened her eyes, I was standing in front of her. She moved aside and asked me to sit next to her. When I sat down our hips and legs touched. I swear there was a current of something, a weird energy that passed between us. I reminded myself that she might be straight and to not interpret anything that she did as anything but platonic; besides, after all, she was in mourning.
Not a word had passed between us when she reached out and touched my face, her soft fingers gently stroking my skin. Tenderly she cupped my chin in her hand and brought her lips to mine. My heart and mind raced frantically but I felt myself returning her kisses.
What the hell was I doing?
Warning signals screamed in my head yet I ignored them.
Her hands continued to stroke my face. Pulling me closer, she pressed her soft lips into mine and kissed me with an urgency that was passionate and bold, then inched her way down my neck, nipping at the tender flesh. I could feel myself melting against her body and was keenly aware of the unmistakable heat of new passion spreading itself like a bonfire between my legs.
I brought her face back to mine and kissed her deeply, sliding my tongue against hers. Softly, she bit my lower lip and let out a sigh when my breasts moved against hers.
She pulled me downward and slowly opened her legs, allowing my leg to rest between them. With her body beneath me, she began to move sensuously against my thigh, grinding her hips upward. Her panties, soaked with desire, tugged at my skin and stirred me to return her thrusts.
Wanting to feel the heat of bare sex against my skin, I reached down and eased her panties off, allowing her to kick them aside. She pulled me back down over her and slowly we merged, our bodies intertwining into one.
Bucking beneath me and whimpering softly, she buried her face into the warmth and softness of my neck while boring her nails roughly into my back. I groaned loudly, my own body aching for sexual redemption. Soon, she began to tremble and I knew the delicious friction of her clit on my skin would cause her to explode at any minute. Suddenly, I felt her shudder and thrash violently against me.
I wrapped my arms around her and held her still, attempting to stall her climax and prolong her pleasure.
“Hold on baby….not yet,” I whispered to her, “don’t come yet.”
“I...I don’t know if I can keep myself from…oh god!” she cried, gasping for air and unable to control the powerful orgasm cascading throughout her body.
